The use of the operating microscope in dentistry is becoming increasingly common in clinical practice. Should you have one? What difference would it make? This presentation will highlight some of the advantages and challenges of restorative dentistry through the lens of the microscope, and discuss its relevance in modern restorative dentistry.
Friday, 14 September - 1:15pm (Lunch and Learn Workshop)
The role of clinical photography in dentistry is becoming an increasingly pertinent one. This session will explore options for clinical photography equipment and techniques, for beginners through to moderate/advanced level photographers. A demonstration of some clinical and para-clinical photographic techniques will also be included.
Dr John Cho graduated from the University of Sydney with honours. After spending some in Parkes NSW, he returned to Sydney to complete his specialist training in Prosthodontics. He is principal of Canberra Prosthodontics and has a special interest in amalgam and gold restorations, implants, and removable prosthodontics, as well as enjoying teaching roles at the University of Sydney and Charles Sturt University. He also lectures for the International Team for Implantology and various dental organisations.
