The presentation will provide a snapshot of the work regulating more than 20,000 registered dental practitioners to manage risk to the public and regulate the profession in the public interest. The presentation will draw upon the last health, conduct and performance notifications data involving dental practitioners and help to improve the understanding of the notification process.
Alessandra Peck is the Executive Officer, Dental at the Australian Health Practitioner Health Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She provides executive support and guidance to the Dental Board of Australia with respect to governance and regulatory policy matters, professional standards development, and accreditation issues. She has been at AHPRA for five years and has also held the position of Executive Officer, Psychology. Prior to joining AHPRA, Alley has held a range of senior health policy roles both in Australia and in the UK. She is also the recipient of a Winston Churchill Fellowship.
