Today’s digital age presents us with many opportunities to help our patients and ourselves navigate the complexities of modern practice. There are several aspects to visual documentation. The first three are the use of still photography, videography and radiography. Good before and after images are essential to remind the patients what they looked like before you started. Case examples help the patient understand what you are talking about. Radiographs provide images of what is underneath particularly where lack of bone and/or periodontal disease are concerned.
